Jim Barborak is an affiliate of the Center for Protected Area Management and Training and an instructor in the annual Wildlands and Protected Areas Management Course for Latin American protected area professionals .   He has a B.S. in Wildlife Management and a M.S. in Natural Resources from Ohio State University.  Barborak has worked with park systems throughout Latin America for 28 years.   His professional specialties include proteced area staff training, corridor design, capacity building, financial and institutional strategies for PAs, buffer zone management, and planning of parks and park systems. Based in Costa Rica, he serves as Conservation International's Protected Area and Conservation Corridor Unit Director for Mexico and Central America.
